I'm currently recording the narration for my first two books. Will be uploaded to Audible, Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and other audiobook channels this summer -- hopefully by Summer 2024.
A big shout-out to the Regina Public Library, Sherwood Village branch. I booked --for free-- their "WhisperRoom" soundproof studio to start recording my audiobook. You can book the room in three-hour chunks; it's going to take many sessions for me to read aloud my two books in their entirety. Though I brought in all my own equipment (computer, microphone, pop filter, headphones, iPad), everything you need is there for you.
I'm recording my narration to Audacity, which is a free software program. So, in the end, my monetary cost in creating my audiobook will be zero, though a high cost in time learning audio editing.
